YR, RV and BG Colour Challenge

>> Tuesday, March 29, 2011

Hi Copic Lovers,

I have a new post for our new challenge! It's a colour challenge.
This is going to help us all learn our Copic colours I think!
For this challenge you have to use the colours YR, RV and BG in your creation.

I coloured in this Magnolia horse.  It started off being for a baby card, but it all got a bit too bright so I have changed it to a 3-year-old b'day card I need instead.  I will have another go at the baby card later!

I used these colours:

YR23, YR61, YR68
BG10, BG15, BG05
RV02, RV04, RV13, RV23

A big congratulations to our winners from the Male and Brown Challenge! Thanks to everyone for taking part.  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for this challenge!
Happy Colouring : )

I love you Cowboy, Thank you for the Ride...

>> Tuesday, March 15, 2011

Hi Copic Lovers,

I have a cowboy card today.
I dont know if you have ever heard of the song
"Thank the Cowboy for the Ride" by Chris LeDoux?
I like this song.  It kept going around and around in my head while I made this card.
I think this card would be perfect for a cowboy.

Unfortunately though I couldn't find that song on utube (sung by Chris).
I did find another song by an Aussie Country Music singer.
You might want to have a listen...head on over to my blog here to hear the song.

The image is from Meljen's Designs and I coloured it with the following colours:

E47, E37, E35, E33, E31
Outline W-1

You still have eleven days left to enter our Brown, Male cards Challenge.
Not many entries at this stage so the chance of winning the stamp prize is looking pretty good!

Thanks for looking at my card.

>> Monday, March 14, 2011

Good Monday Morning to all our Copic Lovers.

What a full on couple of days it has been. I can see that Mother Nature is still in her bad mood. I know I speak for everyone here at Mad For Markers when I say our hearts go out to all those that have been effected by this latest tragedy in Japan. There is really not much you can say other than we are thinking of you.

So our current challenge is to create a male card using your brown copic markers. We have had some great entries so far. So what are you waiting for!!!!!!! Please make sure you use your Copic Markers on your creation and link your actual post rather than just your blog so we can find your card easily.

Today I have used a Penny Johnson for Stampavie image that I just love. Who can resist a cute boy and his dog!!!!!!!!!!!

I have used lots of brown markers on this card. I have also added some raw cardboard and some cardboard that I coloured with walnut granules. These are my new love at the moment. They are so fun to use.

Copics Used;
E00, E02, E25, E27, E29, E35, E37, E39, E71, E77, E79.

Hi there, Emma here with your Friday Inspiration! I have to say that male cards are NOT my strong point, I think it has to do with the lack of flowers and bling....hehe! BuT I am happy with how this card turned out!

Eyes - B00, B02
Shirt - C3, C1

Dinosaur Bag with Shrink Plastic Stars

>> Tuesday, March 8, 2011

Hi all continuing our Male Creation using some of your brown copics!  I have used Oliver and made a Dinosaur Bag for Morgan's Dinosaurs, now I should have sort the dinosaurs out before I made the bag lol!  As they seem to have grown!  So you could say it is a sleeping bag as a few heads will be popping out!

I have stamped the image onto the calico then coloured in with copics, for the writing, I wrote the outline with the mulitliner 0.3 then coloured in using various colours of brown copics, then stitched it up with my sewing machine.

The stars have been made using shrink plastic, which was coloured using E35, then used a star punch and Crop a dile for the holes in the centre (ish).  Then used my heat gun to shrink them.

Copics

B21, 24, 91, 95

A Little More Raunchy than Ranchy

>> Thursday, March 3, 2011

Hi there Copic fans

How's your week going?

I am having a fabulous week. My "baby" turned 5 on Monday and yesterday I spent my third day in the land of grown ups (my new job) and loved it!! I'm sure the novelty will wear off soon enough but really it is just so much fun and the pay check I got last week, well that just feels like a bonus.

But today, I have something a little bit naughty for you....................

The new challenge over at Mad For Markers is asking for MALE CARDS using BROWN COPICS.

Well, I just had to use "Cheyenne" from Kenny K as I can use every single brown copic I have on her.

Oh boy, this image really is more raunchy than it is ranchy hey! But she sure is fun to colour!

I have used the following Copics:

Skin- E000, E00, E11 & R20 for blush
Lips & Tattoo - R22
Hair - E25, E29 & E53
Hat, Gloves & Boots - E55, E57 & E59
Clothes (what little there is, lol) - E33, E35, E37 &E39
Rope - E30&E31

I'm really loving this new challenge at Mad For Markers this month, as the browns are my second most favourite colours to use (of course pink will always be my most favourite :-D). Also too I always need a little extra push to make those Male cards so it's just perfect for me.

So come on, break out those browns and join in the fun. I can't wait to see what you create!!

Some exciting news for you over at the Mad For Markers Store too.
Hop on over there and check out the new range of stamps from "The Greeting Farm" that Sammi has in store now.Watch this space too for "La La Land Crafts Stamps" coming soon.

I've already put a decent sized hole in my brand new pay check, lol.

For all your Copic and related supplies head on over to Mad For Markers online store.

Mad For Markers post to Australia and New Zealand and stock a large range of Copic Markers, Blending Card, Masking Paper etc.
You can also check out the store blog and challenge blog for tips, tutorials and inspiration.
